There are many ways you can be involved in Candy Cane Corner between volunteering and hosting a donation drive to collect new items for the store. In order to find out if being involved is the right fit for you and/or your group, we have prepared a list of the most frequently asked questions below.

What is Candy Cane Corner?

Candy Cane Corner is a holiday store that The Road Home and Volunteers of America, Utah operate in which clients being served at each agency can have a dignified shopping experience to provide presents for their families during the holiday season.

Where is Candy Cane Corner located?

Location changes from year to year for Candy Cane Corner. The 2019 Candy Cane Corner location has not yet been chosen and will be announced at a later date.

When is Candy Cane Corner open?

Candy Cane Corner is open from December 1 through December 14 from 10am to 7pm.

Who can shop at Candy Cane Corner?

Low-income families and individuals who receive services at either The Road Home or Volunteers of America, Utah are eligible to shop at Candy Cane Corner. Please confirm your eligibility for Candy Cane Corner with your case manager before arriving.

How can I volunteer?

Candy Cane Corner needs volunteers to help sort donations, stock the shelves and run the shop overall. The sign up to volunteer will go live November 1. Click here for more information on volunteer opportunities.

What can I donate?

All donations must be new and unwrapped items ranging from basic needs such as underwear, diapers, winter coats and household items to toys, Christmas stockings and stocking stuffers. Click here to view our most needed items.

Monetary donations are also welcome to help fund the day to day operations of the program. Click here to help give the gift of joy to our clients in need.
