We depend on you…

We rely on our community and generous supporters, like you, to help us stock Candy Cane Corner with items for our families to choose from.

Families enrolled in programs at the YWCA Utah, The Road Home and Volunteers of America, Utah begin visiting the store for gifts the first week of December. This means we need ample donations for them to choose from very early in the holiday season.

We are currently accepting new & unwrapped items for this year’s Candy Cane Corner.

The location of Candy Cane Corner is still to be determined. If you would like to drop off donations before the store opening on December 1, 2017, these items can be dropped off at:

The Road Home

Downtown Location: 210 Rio Grande Street (455 West), Salt Lake City, Utah 84101.  Donations are accepted every day from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m.

Midvale Location: 529 West 7300 South (9th Ave), Midvale, UT 84047

The YWCA-

322 East 300 South, SLC, Utah 84111

2017 WISH LIST

Your Donation:

Your donation to Candy Cane Corner is one-hundred-percent tax deductible and will be used to help families participating in programs at the YWCA Utah, The Road Home, and Volunteers of America celebrate this holiday season. A tax receipt will be available to you at the time you make your donation.

Monetary Donations:

In addition to the in-kind donations listed on our wish list,  we also gratefully accept monetary donations. These donations give us the flexibility to purchase needed items for the store and cover our low overhead expenses.  At the end of each Candy Cane Corner season, we keep a small amount in reserve for the next year and disburse the remaining to the three agencies (The Road Home, YWCA Utah, and Volunteers of America, Utah) for direct client assistance throughout the year. 3. Good morning, I am in charge of the holiday fund drive for my work. We have collected items for you in the past and I was wondering if you still have a wish list of items that I can look at to make some flyers to post around our building? Also, I was wondering what date you need donations to be turned in.
    Thank you

    1. Hi Heather!

Thanks so much for your support!

HERE is a link to our Wish List sheet for this year – it would be perfect for printing out and putting around the building. It also includes the drop off locations and dates.

  4. I have a group who wants to donate some items, but we wouldn’t be able to get them there until Dec 2nd. I know it says all donations should be received by Dec 1st. Can we still donate a day late?

    1. Yes! Once the store opens on December 1 we will be accepting donations there every day. We will post that information and the address as we get closer to December 1.
