At Candy Cane Corner, we know just how hectic the holidays can be. With family and friends to think about, it can feel like there’s not much left to give back when the hustle & bustle is done. You can get an early start on lending a hand this year though, by donating to Candy Cane Corner.

Candy Cane Corner is a partnership between The Road Home, YWCA of Salt Lake, and Volunteers of America, UT. This holiday store is a great way to help make the season bright for the families our three agencies help. We are collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys, clothing, and household items to stock the store before we open on December 3.

While we’re working to get the store set-up, donations can be delivered to The Road Home at 210 S. Rio Grande St. (455 W.), just let their staff know the donation is intended for Candy Cane Corner. Here are some ideas on how you can warm your heart & help Candy Cane Corner early in the holiday season:

Volunteer sign ups are now open!

Volunteers interested in helping at Candy Cane Corner this year can now sign up on line for both individual and group shifts! You must enter an email address in order to sign up – this will let us keep you posted on the latest Candy Cane Corner news & volunteer information. You will also receive an automatic email reminder 2 days before your volunteer shift.

Please remember:

Volunteer groups are limited to 10 people. Individual shifts are not intended for additional group members to also sign up.
Volunteers must be 16 years old. Younger supporters are welcome to visit the store for a tour.
Volunteers must sign a Boundaries & Confidentiality form & bring the completed form with them to their first shift.
