We are excited to announce that the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City has generously donated a building to house this year’s Candy Cane Corner! Located at 200 South 340 West (map below) in downtown Salt Lake City, the building will be open and accepting donations starting Thursday, December 1, 2016 at noon.   Please DO NOT drop off donations at this location before noon on December 1, as there will not be anyone there to accept them. Portraits for a Better Beehive Fundraiser

Portraits for a Better Beehive Instant Film Holiday Photo Booth

Join us November 13th – get your holiday photo taken and the proceeds benefit Candy Cane Corner 2016. See below for details from Austin Diamond Photography:

Because of some serious nostalgia-ridden holiday feels, the next Portraits for a Better Beehive fundraiser is a holiday-themed instant film photo booth! Proceeds will benefit Utah Food Bank and Candy Cane Corner.

Come to this one-day-only pop-up studio and make a unique photograph for your holiday card—or just for fun—and use our holiday props (from Santa hats to colorful boas). Stand in front of a snowflake backdrop or just get a regular portrait in the hip interior of cityhome.

Each instant film photo booth print is $25 (I’ll take two photos, just in case someone blinked), and the proceeds go to charity. We’ll also scan the image on site, so you’ll have a digital copy to use for your season’s greetings and to post on social media, of course.

Read more here:

How the instant film photo booth will work:

Visit cityhome COLLECTIVE (645 E. South Temple, SLC) on Sunday, November 13th, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. No appointment necessary—just show up.

Worried that you’ll have to wait in line forever? Pledge to pay an additional $15, message me with your preferred time, and you can skip to the front of the line when you arrive!

To get this sweet deal, you must like Austen Diamond Photography on Facebook or Instagram. I know—details, details

Pay with cash, check, or credit card

Get dressed up with our holiday-themed props (or bring your own), and plan for your shoot to take 5 minutes.

You say cheese, I go click, and then you wait 90 seconds for your print to develop.

We’ll scan the Instax print and email it to you immediately, so you have a digital image that you can post on social media or use for your holiday cards.

Can’t wait to see you all at this fun event!

Candy Cane Corner is a partnership between The Road Home, YWCA Utah, and Volunteers of  America, Utah. This holiday store is a great way to help make the season bright for the families our three agencies serve by providing them with a meaningful and empowering holiday shopping experience.

Each year, Candy Cane Corner helps families in need celebrate the holidays with new gifts. Parents visit the store with their case manager and select gifts for their children and themselves. For many of the families we help at Candy Cane Corner, it has been a very long time since they were last able to shop for new clothes or toys.

We hope you’ll join us at Candy Cane Corner this year as we bring holiday magic and cheer to all of the children, mothers, and fathers we serve. Thank you from The Road Home, Volunteers of America, Utah, and the YWCA.
